GetVirtual is a non-profit student-led organization that was established in March 2020. The pandemic drastically affected small business owners in Santa Cruz, a town that is heavily reliant on tourists and foot traffic. Recognizing this need to pivot online, the team started off by executing online services pro-bono for clients in need of help.
Unlike other agencies, our program provides a wide variety of free services to assist businesses, including customized business plans, business owner education, and no-code virtual solutions.
Our goal at the launch of each project is to enable our students to be exceptional Project Managers and to teach businessowners how to manage online tools themselves long-term. With the success visible in Santa Cruz, GetVirtual expanded quickly into Monterey Bay, Santa Clara, and Connecticut.
Across all branches, GetVirtual was able to recruit and train Project Managers to work with local businesses. GetVirtual continues to help businesses gain an online presence. Students give back to their communities while gaining invaluable real-world project experience. Since its conception,
GetVirtual has successfully launched 150 projects and has a community of over 250 alumni and clients.
